Caramel Brownies




1 box German chocolate cake mix

⅔ cup evaporated milk

50 caramels (14-oz pkg)

¾ cup melted oleo

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup pecans, chopped


Unwrap and melt caramels with ⅓ cup of evaporated milk. Mix dry cake mix with melted oleo and other ⅓ cup of evaporated milk. Grease well a 9 x 13” pan – spread ½ cake mix over bottom of pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 mins. Spread the chocolate chips over bottom, sprinkle pecans over this. Cover with melted caramel. Add rest of cake mix. Bake exactly 15 mins at same temp.
