1 lb ground beef
1 small onion - chopped
Chili beans as desired (probably 1 or 2 cans)
1 10-oz can tomato sauce
2 tbsp chili powder (can use chili mix in packet)
¼ tsp paprika
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Brown meat and onion in skillet, drain, put in large pot, add beans and tomato sauce, chili powder, paprika and peppers. Simmer until all ingredients are cooked together real well. Serve with crackers. Can add more tomato juice or water as desired. Can use some green pepper. (something missing here) the recipe I used. I was making 2 gallons so I was throwing stuff in. Some variations you can use are: salsa or Rotel for some of your tomato. You may not want to use much of that, or either cut down on your pepper – can get too mot real fast. You can use kidney beans instead of chili beans, or some of each. I have used kidney beans and I mash some of them so it won’t be too beany! As you see, you can just add and taste. I don’t think you can totally ruin it, or I would have. I didn’t think mine was the greatest, maybe yours will turn out better. I think I prefer the chili mix instead of chili powder - good luck!
