This is a down-home favorite for people who grew up on the farm and wanted a quick snack. It's also a way to use up slightly stale corn bread. You simply crumble the cornbread into a tall glass and then fill with milk. Eat with a spoon.
Every once in a while Ruth and Leland would get a hankering for this "comfort food" from their youth. Greg couldn't stand the sight of it, and would have to leave the room if someone was eating it. To him, it looked more like something the school janitor should pour sawdust over than something anybody should be eating. Yuk.
