6 medium fresh apples, more or less
Oleo to fry – maybe ¼ to ½ cup
Dash of salt
¼ to ½ cup sugar
Sprinkle with cinnamon
Wash and peel apples, take cores out and slick in small wedges. Put in fry pan with oleo, dash with sale and cinnamon. Add ¼ cup sugar, maybe more. I usually just dump it in, they should be quite sweet. Cover, on low to medium heat, turn with egg turner to keep from sticking, also helps to brown evenly. When covered, they make their liquid, should they get too dry before getting done you can add a little water along. Cook until soft and when most of the liquid is gone, but not dry. The liquid tends to thicken when cool. When your apples start to get soft and you don’t enjoy them raw anymore, now’s the time to be thrifty and fry them. “Delicious.” Wally loves them, too!!
