in the Duncan and Tindall Families

Farm families were big families, as the more help the better when it came to chopping cotton, milking cows, plowing fields and huddling to stay warm in the winter. Otto and Floy Tindall had six sons and one daughter: Milburn, Ray, Bill, Glenn, Hayes, Gene and Ruth. Enoch and Julia had two girls and two boys: Verda and Euna, Thurman and Leland (though he was originally just "Lelan" -- he added the "d" later on).

Most of those siblings had pretty large families too, the result being that Wally and Greg have LOTS of first cousins. No one has ever determined an exact count, but it's at least 30, with ages now ranging from 40-something to 80-something!  Interesting example: Wally needed to hire a new lawyer for his firm a few years back. He reviewed the applicants and one stood out: a woman named Ressie who had graduated from law school in Arkansas and just moved to the Poplar Bluff area. During the interview, he mentioned the Arkansas connection, and it turned out that Ressie and Wally (and Greg) are third cousins! No joke. Big family...small world. By the way, she is now his partner in the firm.

We would like this website and recipe collection to expand to include everyone from all sides of the family. But for now we will start with just the immediate ones.
